Case Study – Sustainable Non-GMO Soy: A Swiss Supplier's Perspective

is a commodity trader having been involved with Non-GMO soybean meal for almost ten years now, As import manager with Tradigrain in the late 90's, he was the first importer of Brazilian certified non-GMO soybean meal into Europe - initially to the French compound feed industry and soon thereafter to the Scandinavian fish feed industry.
He quickly developed a solid relationship with the European segments of the feed industry sensible to the non - GMO incorporation of certified soy. He was also the first one to import certified Indian soybean meal in 2000/2001, having spent a great amount of time and effort to try to establish a traceable procedure from India.
Today, his contact base consist of users across Europe producing feed for specialized products, wheteher it be for fish, poultry, pigs, cattle or dairy products like cheese, milk and egg preparations. Bernt is a firm believer of "it is - or it is not " in other words "Soft IP" or "0.9% as per EU regulation" does not form part of his professional convictions.
